Ibuprofen
Indications:
Ibuprofen is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis that are manifested by symptoms of pain, stiffness, tenderness and inflammation on the affected part of the body. It is also used to relieve mild to moderate pain caused by headaches, arthritis, toothaches, backaches and menstrual period. It can also be used to relieve fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How to take:
Ibuprofen is taken as directed by the physician. It comes in a tablet form that is taken by mouth with or without food. Ibuprofen taken with food can prevent stomach irritation or upset. Swallow tablet as a whole with plenty of water. If a dose is missed, take one a soon as possible. For more detailed information please see label and please consult specialist. Precautions:
Before taking Ibuprofen, doctor should be informed of any allergies to ibuprofen and other Nsaid′s. The doctor should also know about the medication, vitamins, herbal products and nutritional supplements that the patient is taking. It is also important to mention about medical conditions such as asthma, swelling of upper or lower extremeties, and liver or kidney disease. Do not use this drug during pregnancy unless prescribed by the doctor. The use of ibuprofen with other drugs that contain nasal decongestants is not advisable to be used in children less than 2 year old because it may cause life threatening effects to the child.
