Cinnarizine belongs to a group called antihistamines. Cinnarizine works by blocking the receptors in the vomiting center to prevent the brain from sending nerve messages to the stomach thereby prevents vomiting.

Indications:

Cinnarizine is used in the treatment of inner ear disorders such as Meniere′s disease and motion sickness which is manifested in symptoms like nausea and vomiting. This drug can also relieve vertigo and ringing in the ears. It can also be used to relieve fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How to take:

Cinnarizine is taken as directed by the physician. It comes in a tablet form that is taken by mouth with or without food. Swallow tablet as a whole with plenty of water. Precautions:

Cinnarizine may cause drowsiness therefore it is not advisable to engage in activities that require mental alertness. When using this drug, alcohol should be avoided at all times.
