Omeprazole
Indications:
Omeprazole is used to treat heartburn and irritation of the esophagus caused by regurgitation. It is also be used as a short term treatment of ulcers in the stomach and small intestines. It can also lessen the risk of stomach bleeding in severe cases. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by the physician.
How to take:
Take Omeprazole as directed by the doctor. Take each tablet with a full glass of water on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before eating. Do not crush, chew, and open the capsule. If a dose is missed, take one as soon as possible. Note that antacids may be administered with Omeprazole. For more detailed information please see label and please consult specialist. Precautions:
Before the use of Omeprazole, the doctor should be informed of any allergies to Omeprazole and medical conditions such as heartburn. This drug may make you dizzy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This drug is excreted into breast milk.
