Ofloxacin
Indications:
Ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhea. Chlamydia, skin infection, urinary tract infections, and prostate infections. This medication may be prescribed for other uses, ask the doctor for more information.
How to take:
Take Ofloxacin exactly as directed by the physician. It is taken by mouth with or without food every 12 hours twice a day for 3-10 days. For more detailed information please see label and please consult specialist. Do not take more Ofloxacin than is indicated at the label without consulting a doctor. Continue to take this antibiotic even if you feel well, do not stop taking without talking to the doctor.
Precautions:
Before taking ofloxacin, inform the doctor of any allergies to ofloxacin and other antibiotics as well as other medications. Also inform the doctor about the other medications taken especially vitamin, supplements, and herbal products. Ofloxacin can change the effectiveness of these medications. This drug can cause drowsiness therefore do not engage in activities that require mental alertness. Also alcohol intake can add to the drowsiness caused by Ofloxacin.
