Indications:

Methyldopa is used in the treatment of hypertension or high blood pressure. This drug is particularly useful for clients with impaired renal function, renal hypertension, resistant cases of hypertension complicated by stroke, and coronary arterial diseases.

How to take:

Methyldopa is taken as prescribed by the doctor. Take it at the same time each day and may be taken with food or fluids to prevent gastric irritation. It is important to take the medication even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.

Precautions:
